I’m Rachel, founder of Effy Nails, nail tech and mentor who works with independent nail artists with their own business.
Since moving countries 10 years ago and starting again from scratch, I’ve been behind the scenes, on set, and back again.
You don’t **have** to open a salon to grow your nail business and it’s my job to show you where to start.

Studio life

My fave mediums to play with? That’s easy - gels on nails and oils on canvas.
Over the years (since 2009 whewwww) I have trained in, tried & experimented with all kinds of nail products, techniques and tools and I can confidently say, **WHAT A TIME TO GET YOUR NAILS DONE!** It’s the best it’s ever been… and it isn’t stopping yet.
I work with **premium salon products** in the studio and on set. From **chrome powders**, **foils, blooming gels** and **brushes**, to a huge range in **gel colours, soak-off builder gels** and beautiful **gel extensions**… I’ve got you covered!

BIO

I used to wax eyebrows, legs and everything in between. I used to blend essential oils for customised full body massages. I used to zap hair and rosacea and pigmentation with an IPL laser machine. I used to do nails amongst all of these things, until I decided to SPECIALISE.

I love combining my beauty therapy background with my creativity, making people feel good about themselves and enhancing or decorating what is already there. Nail design is a way for me to play with colour and pattern, creating individual looks while also providing a service that will leave you feeling like you’ve got your sh*t together.

I have worked with some of my favourite nail artists during fashion weeks, created nail looks for global campaigns, magazine editorials, music videos, Theatre shows, commercials, organised nail bars for festivals, day time events and night time events… all of this while enjoying getting to know people during one to one appointments.

These days, I after 10+++ years, I now mentor people choosing nail artistry as a career. Whether they’re just starting out on their own or are a seasoned pro, wanting to step in to the world of photoshoots and film, I am so happy to be sharing the knowledge gained to grow a thriving, independent nail art business.
